Reading Group Continues Mere Christianity

On August 10, the Spiritual Reading Group will continue the journey through C.S. Lewis’ Mere Christianity.

The Spiritual Reading Group enjoyed discussing the first book in Mere Christianity. In this section C. S. Lewis, who was originally an atheist, presents a beautiful argument for the existence of God. We will discuss Book 2 and Book 3, Chapters 1-10 (about 100 pages) on August 10. In September we will discuss the remainder of the book. The book began as a series of radio broadcasts in London during World War II. If you are interested in joining our conversation, YouTube has at least part of the book in C.S.Lewis’ own voice. You can find the book online, at the public library, or Google the title to find a pdf of the entire book.

If you are unfamiliar with this book, it began as a series of radio broadcasts in London during World War II. It is a really great book (Amazon gushes over it!) You can find the book online, at the public library, etc. Google the title and one of the top responses is a pdf of the entire book.

If you are unable to attend, you can participate by joining the SAEC Spiritual Reading Group Facebook page, where John Grothues and/or John Ibanez monitor the online discussion.
