Christian Formation for Youth

The youth at St. Andrew’s comprise young people in the 6th to 12th grades. The core element of the youth ministry is Youth Sunday, where the youth gather for an hour of formation, fellowship, and food at 5 PM on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, but the youth ministry is also in a process of growth and discovery. We are finding ways to expand into more opportunities to engage in service projects and to get together for more social outings. Our two successive mission trips the last two summers have set an excellent precedent and we will continue these kinds of trips as a way to cultivate in our youth an awareness of the world’s need and the Christian duty to meet it. All youth volunteers have been trained in safe ministry practices, and passed reference and background checks.
