The St. Andrew’s Garden is located at 117 W. 18th St. and is adjacent to our church parking lot. The garden is a church and community collaboration to grow fresh produce for area food pantries, primarily the Heights Interfaith Ministries Pantry. We are an Urban Harvest member garden and a Good News Garden.

Workdays to help in the garden are held periodically. Contact the church office to subscribe to our newsletter and receive notifications about upcoming workdays.

Give to the garden.

Crops and varieties have been carefully chosen to optimize planting and growing. You’ll enjoy working shoulder to shoulder with other volunteers of every skill level. Learn about the proper way to harvest and grow these fruits and vegetables from our master gardener.

What your commitment will be:

  • Help with planting and pruning.

  • Weeding. We have good soil and mulch, but some weeds are inevitable.

  • Coordinate the harvest of plants.

We have regular workdays when everyone from the church and neighborhood communities are invited to come and do general work in the garden.

What we grow goes to feed our neighbors who are clients of the HIM Food Pantry. This is a great way to learn about gardening, get to know others, and contribute to a good cause!

Contact Rev. Clint Brown or Garden Chair, Susan Kelly to learn about volunteering in the garden.
